Karl Heinz Ritschel

Karl Heinz Ritschel (born January 20, 1930 in Oberaltstadt , Czechoslovakia ; † January 5, 2019 in Koppl , Salzburg ) was an Austrian journalist and publicist .

Youth and education

Karl Heinz Ritschel had to flee to Vienna with his family in 1946 . He studied journalism and art history and received his doctorate in 1959. phil.

Act

From 1954 Ritschel was editor of the Bild-Telegraf , in 1955 he worked for the Kleine Zeitung . From 1956 to 1958 he was the last editor-in-chief of the Bild-Telegraf . From 1959 he was business editor of the Salzburger Nachrichten , from 1964 deputy editor-in-chief and from 1965 to 1995 editor-in-chief.

From 1950 he was a member of the Catholic student association KÖStV Austria Vienna in the ÖCV . He died in early January 2019, two weeks before his 89th birthday.
