Manfred Rademacher (civil servant)

Manfred Rademacher (born July 28, 1930 in Breslau ; † December 15, 2012 in Munich ) was a German civil servant.

Career

Rademacher was born in Breslau as the son of a machinist. In April 1944, at the age of 14, he began an apprenticeship at the Wroclaw Labor Office. In January 1945 he was given the task of relocating files. One day he was unable to return to Breslau. His parents perished in the turmoil after the end of the war.

Via the Bayreuth employment office, he came to the Deggendorf employment office , where he finished his apprenticeship in 1948. Later he made up for a degree on the second subject-related educational path. This was followed by activities at the State Labor Office in Southern Bavaria, as deputy head of the Labor Office in Rosenheim and at the offices in Passau , Memmingen and Augsburg . In the meantime, he was employed at the Belgrade office abroad to recruit Yugoslav workers .

From 1985 until his retirement in 1995 he was director of the Munich employment office . He was seen as a very committed head of the authorities who worked hard to find the unemployed and maintained good contacts with the top of the trade unions , employers and the city.
