Mansour Mehdizadeh ( Persian منصور مهدی زاده, Born August 14, 1938 in Tehran ) is a former Iranian freestyle wrestler . He was a participant in the 1960 Summer Olympics in Rome , 1964 in Tokyo and 1968 in Mexico City .
His best placement at the Summer Olympics was fourth at the Tokyo Games in the middleweight weight category (87 kg).
Mansour Mehdizadeh celebrated his greatest international success with three gold medals, which he won at the World Wrestling Championships in 1961 in Yokohama in the middleweight (79 kg), World Wrestling Championships in 1962 in Toledo (Ohio) in the light heavyweight (87 kg) and in 1965 in Manchester in the middleweight ( 87 kg). Mehdizadeh also won a bronze medal at the World Wrestling Championships in 1963 in Sofia in the light heavyweight division (87 kg).
In his last international appearance in 1966 at the Asian Games , which took place in Bangkok , Mansour Mehdizadeh entered the light heavyweight division (97 kg) and won gold.
