Mantas Kalnietis (born September 6, 1986 in Kaunas ) is a Lithuanian basketball player . He plays in the position of point guard . He is 1.95 m tall and weighs 93 kg (2010).
Career
society
Kalnietis played two and a half seasons at LKKA-Žalgiris with 17.7 points, 4.4 rebounds and 4.3 assists in the second season. Since 2006 he played for Žalgiris Kaunas (5.9 points, 2 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game in the first season). The biggest success for Kalnietis was in the 2008-09 season (11.3 points in the LKL and 8.5 points and 3.0 assists in the ULEB Euroleague ).
Kalnietis signed a three-year contract with Benetton Treviso in June 2009 , although he was still under contract with Žalgiris Kaunas. The sports court FIBA decided that he had to fulfill his contract with Žalgiris Kaunas . Overall, Kalnietis played for Žalgiris from 2006 to 2012. During this time he won the Lithuanian Championship four times and the Lithuanian Cup four times. In addition to the Lithuanian title, he won the Baltic Basketball League four times with Žalgiris . He participated five times in the Lithuanian All-Star Games and twice in the All-Star Games of the BBL. In the summer of 2012, Kalnietis switched to the Russian locomotive Kuban Krasnodar .

Kalnietis was a member of the Lithuanian national basketball team at the 2006 World Cup , the 2009 European Championship and the 2011 European Championship . At the 2010 World Cup he won the bronze medal with Lithuania. He participated with the national team in the 2012 Olympic Games in London.
