Manuela Vollmann

Manuela Vollmann (born July 12, 1961 in Neusiedl near Güssing , municipality of Kukmirn , Burgenland ) is an Austrian adult educator and manager in the non-profit and non-governmental sector.

Career

Manuela Vollmann attended 1980-1982 the Pedagogical Academy Graz-Eggenberg in Graz , where it passed his teaching certificate for elementary school teacher. From 1982 to 1988 Vollmann studied pedagogy at the Karl-Franzens University in Graz and at the University of Vienna with a focus on school pedagogy, adult education and the subject combination of feminist science and women's studies. She completed her studies in 1988 with a master's degree in philosophy. Her diploma thesis, The Myth of Gender-Neutral Equal Opportunities , dealt with gender issues .

After her training in 1988, Vollmann held female academics training for the EFEU association and until 1989 was the research officer of the Federal Ministry for Science and Research in the field of women's studies. From 1989 to 1991 Vollmann worked as a research assistant at the Interdisciplinary Institute for Research and Further Education (IFF) in Vienna as part of the university course for political education for teachers. In 1991 she was entrusted with the content and organizational conception of a labor market project with twelve companies. This resulted in the founding of the non-profit company abz * austria in 1992 . She took over management and chairmanship of the association.

As the managing director of abz * austria , she is responsible for the strategic and operational management of the organization as well as corporate cooperation , lobbying and networking. Since 1992, Vollmann has been asked by science and media as an expert in the field of women's, social and economic policy. Vollmann is also represented in other associations and institutes:

  • in the Austrian Women's Ring (ÖFR)
  • Chair of the board of the federal umbrella association for social enterprises in Austria (bdv austria)
  • NGO delegate in the national monitoring committee of the European Social Fund
  • European Network for Social Integration Enterprises (ENSIE), member of the board since 2013
  • Founding member of the umbrella association of social and economic institutions in Vienna (DSE) since 2001
  • since 2006 member of the supervisory board of the NPO institute at the Vienna University of Economics and Business

From 1995 to 1997 Manuela Vollmann was a lecturer at the Institute for Educational Sciences at the Karl-Franzens University in Graz.

  • 2013 Lecturer at the lecture series "Social Innovation" at the University of Munich, organized by the Social Entrepreneurship Academy, with the title "New ways of working - new ways of thinking. Relationship between working time and work organization models and social innovation "
