The Estadio Daniel Villa Zapata was built in 1990. The stadium initially had a capacity of 8,000 seats. It served as the home stadium for the second division Alianza Petrolera since 1992. When Alianza Petrolera was promoted to the first division in 2012, the stadium no longer met the requirements. The stadium was completely demolished and rebuilt in the same place. During the new construction, Alianza Petrolera had to move to other cities. Most of the time it was played at the Estadio Álvaro Gómez Hurtado in Floridablanca . In April 2015, Alianza Petrolera returned to her original home ground. The new capacity of the stadium is 10,400.
