Manunggal Air Service is an Indonesian airline based in Jakarta and based at Halim Perdanakusuma Airport .

history

Manunggal Air Service was established in 1997. In addition to national scheduled flights, it also operates charter and cargo flights .

In 2015, the Indonesian Aviation Agency Manunggal Air Service withdrew the AOC ; the company plans to resume operations.

Incidents

Manunggal Air Service had four incidents between 1998 and 2010, one with a fatality, according to the Aviation Safety Network . On July 4th 2007 it was put on the list of operating bans for the airspace of the European Union .

  • On May 16, 1998, a Fokker F28 shot over the runway on landing in Singapore, the left wing and main landing gear broke off. The plane was written off. The flight was for the purpose of evacuation from Jakarta to Singapore due to political unrest in Indonesia ( Asian crisis ) and the crew had been on duty for 16 hours.
  • On June 15, 2001, a Transall C-160 from Jakarta to Wamena reported engine problems and returned to Jakarta. On landing, the Transall shot over the runway. One passenger died; the plane was totaled.
  • On March 6, 2008, a Transall C-160 from Jayapura to Wamena caught fire while landing.
  • On January 28, 2010, an Antonov An-26 from Jayapura to Wamena was badly damaged on landing.
