María José Portillo Ramírez (born May 8, 1999 in Oaxaca ) is a Mexican tennis player .

Career

Portillo Ramírez, who started playing tennis at the age of six , prefers the hard court. She mainly plays on the ITF Women's Circuit , where she has won two tournaments in singles and 11 in doubles so far.

In 2019 she received a wildcard to qualify for the Abierto Mexicano Telcel , where she was defeated in the first qualifying round against Conny Perrin with 1: 6 and 1: 6.

Since 2018 she has been playing for the Mexican Fed Cup team , for which she has contributed three wins from two nominations in four games.
