Marc Vucinovic (born September 19, 1988 in Hanover ) is a German football player of Serbian descent.

Career

Vucinovic began his adult career in 2007 with the Hildesheim Lower Saxony league club SV Bavenstedt . Here the midfielder drew attention to himself as a goalscorer and aroused interest in higher-class clubs in the first half of the 2008/09 season with 16 goals in 14 games. During the winter break he moved to the then third division club Eintracht Braunschweig , for whom he made four appearances in 2009. Due to injury problems, Vucinovic was initially unable to gain a foothold in professional football. In April 2010, he suffered two torn muscle fibers. A fibula fracture followed with an operation. This injury forced him to take a ten-month injury hiatus. After recovering, Vucinovic found himself in the Braunschweig reserve team and prematurely terminated his contract in Braunschweig in January 2011 after he had been deported to the second team of Eintracht.

Vucinovic moved to TSV Havelse in the Regionalliga Nord for the 2011/12 season via the district division club TuSpo Schliekum . Here he found his way back to his old form: In 2011/12 he scored ten goals and twelve assists in the Regionalliga for Havelse. In 2012/13 he contributed 16 goals and 15 assists to the runner-up of TSV Havelse in the Regionalliga Nord. The qualification for the promotion round to the 3rd division was only just missed.

In 2013 Vucinovic signed a two-year contract with the second division club SC Paderborn 07 and returned to professional football. With the SCP it increased after the season 2013/14 in the Bundesliga on. He made his Bundesliga debut on August 24, 2014 (1st matchday) in a 2-2 draw in the home game against 1. FSV Mainz 05 . In the 2014/15 season he made a total of eight Bundesliga games and one goal that he scored on the last day of the match in the 2-1 defeat against VfB Stuttgart . With Paderborn he was relegated from the Bundesliga and only a year later another relegation from the second division followed. After his contract expired in the summer of 2018 and he was eight months without a contract, he joined 1. FC Sarstedt as a player-coach in February 2019.
