Marcel Biyouha Ndjeng (born May 6, 1982 in Bonn , North Rhine-Westphalia ) is a former Cameroonian - German football player . His position was in the right midfield . His brother Dominique Ndjeng was also a professional footballer.
Career
Marcel Ndjeng began his career at Fortuna Bonn in 1988 and switched to the offspring of Bonner SC for one season in 1995 . In 1996 he left for 1. FC Köln before moving to Fortuna Düsseldorf in 2004 . There he only spent one season and so Ndjeng moved to SC Paderborn . For Paderborn, he played all 34 games in the 2nd Bundesliga and scored nine goals.
For the 2006/07 season Ndjeng moved to Arminia Bielefeld in the Bundesliga . He scored his first Bundesliga goal on matchday 12 in the away game at Eintracht Frankfurt to make it 3-0. He was instrumental in the victory, because the German-Cameroonian, who came on in the 58th minute, also prepared the 2-0 from Bielefeld's point of view through Sibusiso Zuma . At Arminia, however, he was not a regular player. Since he saw no chance in coach Ernst Middendorp's team , Ndjeng decided to switch to Borussia Mönchengladbach , a club that was coached by his ex-coach Jos Luhukay . There he received a three-year contract, valid until June 2010. After the 2007/08 season he was voted the best second division player of the season by the specialist magazine kicker . From the beginning of January 2009 Ndjeng was no longer part of the Borussia professional squad; he was suggested to look for a new club.
The Hamburger SV invited him to the test from 14 to 18 January 2009, his training camp in La Manga one in which he's friendly against 1899 Hoffenheim TSG came on. A week later, the clubs agreed on a loan until the end of the 2009 season. He has played for FC Augsburg since the 2009/10 season . At the end of the 2011/12 season, Ndjeng's contract was not renewed.
During the summer break of 2012, Ndjeng moved to Hertha BSC . He signed a two-year contract with the Bundesliga relegated team until June 30, 2014 and followed his coach Jos Luhukay from Paderborn, Mönchengladbach and Augsburg times to Berlin.
For the 2015/16 season Ndjeng returned to SC Paderborn. His long-range goal in a pre-season friendly against Bolton Wanderers was voted Goal of the Month in July 2015 . After a year Ndjeng left Paderborn and moved to the third Spanish division for Atlético Baleares . There he ended his active career in summer 2018.
