Marcela Pírková (born January 25, 1996 ) is a Czech athlete who specializes in sprinting .
Athletic career
Marcela Pírková gained her first international experience in 2016 when she was eliminated in the first round of the European Championships in Amsterdam in the 200-meter run with 24.03 seconds. The following year she reached the semi-finals at the U23 European Championships in Bydgoszcz and was eliminated there with 23.54 s. With the 4 x 400 meter relay she finished eighth in 3: 38.13 minutes and with the 4 x 100 meter relay she was disqualified in the preliminary run. Then she started at the Summer Universiade in Taipei , where she was eliminated in the semifinals over 200 meters with 24.11 seconds. In 2018 she was eliminated from the World Indoor Championships in Birmingham with the 4 x 400 meter relay with 3: 34.90 min in the preliminary round and in August she again took part in the European Championships in Berlin over 200 meters , but failed there 23.72 s in the first round and did not reach the final in 44.12 s, even with the Czech 4 x 100 meter relay. At the IAAF World Relays 2019 in Yokohama , she did not reach the final with the 4-by-100-meter relay with 44.67 s and then reached 19th place in the 100-meter run in 11.75 s at the European Games in Minsk Then she reached the semifinals at the Student World Games in Naples over 100 and 200 meters, in which she was eliminated with 11.79 s and 23.89 s.
In 2019 Pírková became Czech champion in the 200-meter run and the 4-by-100-meter relay, and in 2020 she won the 100-meter and 4-by-100-meter relay. In the hall, she was champion in the 400-meter run in 2017 and in the 4 x 200-meter relay in 2018.
