Since he was rarely involved in games, the goalkeeper moved to his home club TuS Wettbergen the following year , where he played for the following four years. In season 2010/11 it was fifth in the subsequent 2011/12 season behind Hertha BSC runner.

In April 2012 Salinas announced his move to the top Chilean club CSD Colo-Colo . Since FIFA does not allow international transfers of minors, the goalkeeper was initially not allowed to play. That's why he trained with the team until the end of the year and then came back to Hanover at the beginning of 2013 , where he spent the rest of the time until his 18th birthday. In the meantime, his coach and sponsor Omar Labruna was sacked for failure, and his successor no longer planned with Salinas. Therefore, the goalkeeper left the club after only one year. In the professional team he was not used, only in some junior selection games he was used.

In September 2013, Salinas completed a trial training session with Borussia Dortmund's U-19 team and was able to convince, which is why he signed a one-year contract with the A-youth Bundesliga club until June 30, 2014 . At the end of the season he left the club.

professional

On August 4, 2016, the Chilean first division club Unión Española announced that they had signed Salinas shortly before the transfer was closed, where they signed a two-year contract. He was scheduled as the third goalkeeper and played mainly for the second team. Salinas made his debut in the Primera División on February 11, 2017, on the 2nd matchday of Clausura, in the 2-0 defeat against CD O'Higgins , when he came on for the injured Cristián Guerra shortly before half-time . After the end of the 2016/17 season, he left the club again.

National team

Salinas was basically eligible to play for three nations: for Germany because of his place of birth, for Portugal because of his mother's origin and for Chile because of his father's origin. Between 2010 and 2011, he played three international matches for the Portuguese U-16 national team, including one on January 13, 2011 in a 2-0 win over Austria .

With his move to CSD Colo-Colo, Salinas also changed the association and from then on played for the Chilean national team. He made eight international matches for the U-20 national team under Fernando Carvallo . Under the new coach Mario Salas , however, he was not considered for the U-20 South American Championship 2013 . From 2012, the goalkeeper also trained with the senior national team under the then coach Claudio Borghi , who wanted to gradually introduce him to the senior national team. After his resignation and Salinas' move away from Colo-Colo, he lost contact with the national team.
