Madison Iseman (born February 14, 1997 in South Carolina ) is an American actress who gained fame in 2016 for her role as Charlotte in the television series Still the King . In 2017 she starred in the adventure film Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle , which brought her to the big screen around the world.

Career

Iseman grew up in Myrtle Beach , South Carolina as the daughter of dental technicians John Iseman and Susan Iseman. She has Ashkenazi Jewish , British , French and Dutch roots. She attended Myrtle Beach High School. Even before she graduated from there, after she won an acting competition, she moved with her mother to Los Angeles to take part in auditions. With the help of virtual lessons, she was able to graduate from school in 2015.

Between 2013 and 2014, Iseman starred in music videos, commercials and several short films for the first time, in which she sometimes met director and actor Rondell Sheridan. After starring in the 2015 thriller Despair Sessions , she appeared in the horror film Tales of Halloween, directed by Saw director Darren Lynn Bousman . At the same time, she had guest appearances on various sitcoms, including Henry Danger and Modern Family .

In addition to her career as an actress, she also appeared as an influencer on the web video platform YouTube until 2015 , where she shared cover songs and vlogs , among other things .
