Marco Albrecht (* 1965 in Potsdam ) is a German theater actor .

Life

After completing his professional training as a film copier, he studied from 1986 to 1990 at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin . From 1990 to 1997 he was engaged at the Mecklenburg State Theater in Schwerin . From 1997 to 2005 he was a member of the ensemble at the Schauspiel Leipzig under the direction of Wolfgang Engel . In 1998 he received the audience award at the Bad Hersfeld Festival for his portrayal of Richard in Richard III. directed by Jérôme Savary . From 1999 to 2005 he taught at the "Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy" University of Music and Theater in Leipzig . From 2005 to 2011 he was a member of the ensemble at the Deutsches Schauspielhaus Hamburg , in the artistic direction of Friedrich Schirmer . In 2010 he lectured at the Hamburg University of Music and Theater . In the 2011 to 2013 seasons he moved to the Stuttgart State Theater to be acting director Hasko Weber . During these years he teaches at the Stuttgart University of Music and Performing Arts . From 2014 to 2016 he performed at the Theater Freiburg , the Heidelberg Theater , the Schauspielhaus Graz , in the Castle Festival Jagsthausen , at the Mecklenburg State Theater Schwerin and to the Hamburger Kammerspiele . During this time he taught at the Otto Falckenberg School in Munich , and in 2019 at the Mannheim Theater Academy .

With the 2016/17 season he is a member of the ensemble at Theater Heidelberg , in the directorship of Holger Schultze .

Marco Albrecht works as an actor for theater and film, and lives in Berlin, Hamburg and Heidelberg.
