Marcus Edvin Bergholtz (born December 15, 1989 in Örkelljunga ) is a Swedish football player . The midfielder , who made his Allsvenskan debut for Helsingborgs IF in 2008 , has played in his home country and Norway in his career so far.
Career
Bergholtz comes from the youth of the Ekets GoIF , which he left in 2004 for the youth department of Helsingborgs IF . There he went through the individual youth teams of the club and moved up in the course of the first division season in 2008 in the squad of the competition team. After his first division debut in the same year, he was used irregularly and fluctuated between the starting eleven and substitute bench. After he came to six appearances as a substitute in the first half of the 2010 season , the club loaned him to the second division club Ängelholms FF in the Superettan . At his new club he was in the starting eleven in twelve league games and helped the team around Jacob Augustsson , Patrik Larsson and Sebastian Andersson to stay in the last place before the relegation places .
After his return to Helsingborgs IF, Bergholtz was only a substitute player in early 2011, until the start of the transfer period in August he stayed without a game in the Allsvenskan. In the summer, the club finally swapped him on loan for the Norwegian offensive player Jørgen Skjelvik from Stabæk Fotball until the end of the season. At the club supervised by his compatriot Jörgen Lennartsson , he met with Pontus Farnerud and Johan Andersson on other Swedes, but also in the Tippeligaen he did not get beyond the role of the substitute player and only played three games as a substitute. After the end of the season, he therefore returned to Sweden.
In the first half of the 2012 Allsvenkan season , Bergholtz played four season games for double winner Helsingborgs IF. In mid-August, he therefore decided to change clubs and joined the second division club Östers IF in the Superettan , where he signed a contract that was valid until the end of 2014.
