Marcus Höreth

Marcus Höreth (* 1968 in Ingolstadt ) is a German political scientist . Since 2013 he has been Professor of Domestic Policy and Comparative Government Studies at the Technical University of Kaiserslautern .

Life

Höreth studied political science , history and public law at the Albert Ludwig University of Freiburg . He then worked there as a lecturer at the Department of Political Science (1997–1998). After completing his doctorate, he worked as a press spokesman and editor at NOMOS Verlag in Baden-Baden (2000–2001) and as a research assistant at the Center for European Integration Research in Bonn (2002–2004). Between 2004 and 2008, Höreth was a lecturer and research assistant at the Department of Political Science at the Friedrich Wilhelms University in Bonn , where he also completed his habilitation. From 2008 to 2013 he was an academic senior counselor at the university there. Since September 2013 he has been Professor of Domestic Policy and Comparative Government Studies (Political Science I) at the TU Kaiserslautern. His main research interests are democratic theory , federalism , constitutional jurisdiction and the European Union .
