The Mare is a river in southern France that runs in the Hérault department , in the Occitania region , in the Haut-Languedoc Regional Nature Park . It rises in the Monts de l'Espinouse , on the northern flank of the summit of the same name, Sommet de l'Espinouse (1124 m), in the municipality of Castanet-le-Haut , first drains in an easterly direction, but then swings to the south and flows around 30 kilometers at Hérépian as a right tributary into the Orb .
