biography

Wiesler comes from the Münstertal in the Black Forest . In 2009 she moved to the ski boarding school in Oberstdorf , where she graduated from high school in 2012 . Afterwards she was a sports soldier in the Bundeswehr and completed a distance learning course. At the age of 15 she took part in FIS races and national junior races from December 2008 . Her first significant success was the German giant slalom youth championship title in 2010. In January 2012 she made her first appearances in the European Cup , and she achieved her first point win at this level in November of the same year. The 2012/13 season was marked by numerous failures: Wiesler was eliminated 30 times in 49 starts. On March 16, 2013, she won the German slalom junior championship title, at the same time as Andrea Filser .

Wiesler made her World Cup debut on November 16, 2013 at the slalom in Levi . With the high starting number 66, she surprisingly finished 23rd and secured her first World Cup points right away. On January 29, 2014, she achieved her first podium finish in a European Cup slalom in Sestriere . Although she did not meet the standard for the 2015 World Ski Championships , she competed in the USA after an internal qualification race of the DSV and finished in a good twelfth place in the slalom. She achieved her best result in a World Cup slalom on January 5, 2016 with 11th place in Santa Caterina . In August 2018, she ended her career and began primary school teacher training.
