Margarito Salazar Cárdenas

Margarito Salazar Cárdenas (born February 22, 1958 in Heroica Matamoros , Tamaulipas , Mexico ) is a Mexican clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Matehuala .

Life

Margarito Salazar Cárdenas was ordained a deacon on June 11, 1988 . On June 12, 1989, he received the sacrament of ordination for the diocese of Matamoros .

On March 3, 2018, Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Matehuala. The Archbishop of San Luis Potosí , Jesús Carlos Cabrero Romero , donated him episcopal ordination on May 24th of the same year . Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Querétaro , Faustino Armendáriz Jiménez , and the Bishop of Matamoros, Eugenio Andrés Lira Rugarcía .
