Maria Segura Pallerés (born June 10, 1992 in Barcelona ) is a Spanish volleyball player .

Career

society

Born in Barcelona, ​​Segura Pallerés went through the youth teams of FC Barcelona's volleyball department before moving to Italy in 2014. There she played in the first and second division until 2018. First one year each with Volley Hermaea Olbia (2014-2015) and Delta Informatica Trentino Rosa (2015-2016) before moving to the first Italian volleyball league at Saugella Monza . In 2017 she moved to Ubi Banca San Bernardo Cuneo in the second Italian division. There she became one of the top scorers and was runner-up.

At the beginning of July 2018, the German cup winner Dresdner SC announced the commitment of the outside attacker Maria Segura Pallerés. Segura Pallerés signed a one-year contract until 2019. She is the first Spanish volleyball player to sign a contract with the Dresden club. With the Dresden team, she was eliminated from the fight for the German championship in the playoff round of 16 of the 2018/19 season . Dresdner SC decided after the end of the season not to submit a new contract offer to Segura Pallerés. She then moved to the Italian Serie A1 for Volley Millenium Brescia .

National team

Segura Pallerés took part in 2008 and 2010 with the Spanish youth team at the European Junior Championships and in 2009 at the World Junior Championships. Since 2011 is part of the squad of the Spanish national volleyball team. With this she participated in the European Volleyball Championships 2011 in Italy and Serbia , 2013 in Germany and Switzerland , 2015 in Belgium and the Netherlands and 2017 in Azerbaijan and Georgia . She also took part in the European Volleyball League in 2011 , 2012 , 2014 , 2016 and 2017 .
