Maria Sofianska
Maria Sofianska (* in Sofia ) is a Bulgarian- born classical pianist and music teacher .
Live and act
Maria Sofianska completed her piano studies at the State University of Music in Sofia with L. Atanassova and L. Popova and worked there as a lecturer from 1980 to 1987 . This was followed by further studies with a DAAD scholarship with Konrad Richter at the Musikhochschule Stuttgart , where she became Richter's assistant in the class for song interpretation. In 1981 she received an award at the Premio Vittorio Gui international chamber music competition in Florence .
In addition to her solo activities, Sofianska also works as a chamber musician with numerous well-known artists such as Emmanuel Pahud , Božo Paradžik , Peter Buck , Isabelle Faust , Tanja Becker-Bender , Nina Karmon , Roberto Saccà and Stephan Breith
In addition to CD and radio recordings, she participated in the publication of a new edition of Johann Sebastian Bach's Well-Tempered Clavier by the American publisher Alfred Publishing .
Sofianska has been teaching piano at the Stuttgart University of Music since 1990.
