Mariana Grasielly Marcelino (born July 16, 1992 ) is a Brazilian hammer thrower .

Athletic career

Mariana Marcelino gained her first international experience at the South American Youth Championships in Lima in 2009 , where she won the silver medal in the shot put and hammer throw. In 2009 she finished seventh at the youth world championships in Brixen with 13.65 m in the shot put. In 2011, she took fifth place in the hammer throw at the Pan American Junior Championships in Miramar . She was also ninth at the Junior South American Championships in Medellín . In 2012 she won the silver medal at the U23 South American Championships in São Paulo with 61.66 m. In 2014 she was sixth at the Ibero-American Championships there. She also won the silver medal again at the U23 South American Championships in Montevideo . In 2016 she again took part in the Ibero-American Championships in Rio de Janeiro , where she won the bronze medal with 60.91 m. In 2017 she was South American champion at the South American Championships in Luque . In August, the student of Santa Anna University Center finished in seventh place at the Summer Universiade in Taipei .

In 2016 and 2017 she became the Brazilian hammer throw champion.
