Marina Schneede

Marina Schneede (* 1936 in Dortmund as Marina Sczesny ) is a German art historian .

She studied art history , history and archeology . In 1967 she received her doctorate with a work on Leo von Klenze's church building. In 1968 she married the art historian Uwe M. Schneede . She wrote various scripts, including for the Saarländischer Rundfunk . She held university courses, including in Hamburg . In addition to independent publications, she also contributed to the works of her husband. In 2002 she published the book Mit Haut und Haaren - The Body in Contemporary Art , which has received many reviews.

She also contributed to the television series 1000 Masterpieces with contributions to paintings by Umberto Boccioni , Sonia Delaunay-Terk , Marcel Duchamp , Richard Lindner , Andrew Wyeth . These texts were also printed in the books accompanying the series, are sporadically repeated on 3sat , ZDFkultur and Planet and are now available on DVD publications (see 1000 Masterworks # Literature ).
