The Marine Music Corps Wilhelmshaven was set up as the military music corps of the Bundeswehr in Wilhelmshaven on October 1st, 2019 . It is subordinate to the Bundeswehr Military Music Center .

The list goes back to a decision of the budget committee of the Bundestag that Wilhelmshaven, the largest location of the Bundeswehr, will again have a marine music corps. The previously existing Marine Music Corps North Sea was disbanded in 2014.

When it went into service on October 1, 2019, the music corps initially only had a limited staff of 22 people. The target size is 56 people, which corresponds to the standard for regional music corps of the Bundeswehr.
