The Army Music Corps Neubrandenburg (HMusKorps Neubrandenburg), until September 30, 2013 Military Area Music Corps I (WBMusKorps I) at the Neubrandenburg location is a music corps of the Bundeswehr.

tasks

The Heeresmusikkorps Neubrandenburg makes music as part of the protocol service , on troop service events and to support the troops. As the “sounding ambassador” of the federal state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and the city of Neubrandenburg , the music corps also appears nationally and internationally as part of public relations work.

history

The Heeresmusikkorps Neubrandenburg was set up on April 1, 1991 under the name Heeresmusikkorps 80 in Neubrandenburg. From July 1, 1994 to May 1, 2008 it was the music corps of the 14th Panzer Grenadier Division "HANSE" in the Army division and was called Heeresmusikkorps 14 . After its dissolution, the Music Corps was renamed to Military Area Music Corps I on May 2, 2008, subordinated to Military Area Command I Coast in Kiel and has since been part of the Armed Forces Base. As part of the realignment of the Bundeswehr , the Military Music Corps I was subordinated to the Military Music Center of the Bundeswehr in Bonn from April 1, 2012 and renamed the Neubrandenburg Army Music Corps on October 1, 2013.
