The Military Music Center of the Bundeswehr (ZMilMusBw) in Bonn is the command command for the military music service of the Bundeswehr . It was set up on August 25, 2009 and is the top management level of this specialist service of the Bundeswehr. Since the establishment of the target structure, all military music units of the Bundeswehr have been directly subordinate to the center.

The central task of the center is the troop service and technical management of all ensembles of the Bundeswehr as well as technical advice to the Federal Ministry of Defense (BMVg) in matters of military music. In addition, it controls and plans the operations of all music units in the Bundeswehr, both at home and abroad. It is also responsible for the approval of music productions by members of the Bundeswehr.
history
On September 18, 2013, the Army Music Corps of the Bundeswehr were subordinated to the Bundeswehr Military Music Center in Siegburg . The head of the Bundeswehr Armed Forces Office , Brigadier General Werner Weisenburger , transferred responsibility for leading the Army Music Corps to the head of the Bundeswehr Military Music Service, Colonel Michael Schramm . The Army Music Corps (HMusKorps) 1 Hannover, 2 Kassel, 10 Ulm, 12 Veitshöchheim and 300 Koblenz were organizationally transferred from the Army to the Armed Forces Base in the fourth quarter of 2013 and placed under the Bundeswehr Military Music Center. The change of subordination of the Army Music Corps is part of the realignment of the Bundeswehr . On February 17, 2016, Colonel Schramm was released from his responsibilities and retired at the end of February. Colonel Christoph Lieder follows him.
Insinuation
The Bundeswehr Military Music Center is subordinate to the Armed Forces Office and is based in Bonn. In technical matters, the center reports directly to the responsible department in the Federal Ministry of Defense.
