The Army Music Corps Hanover (HMusKorps Hanover), until September 18, 2013 Army Music Corps 1 (HMusKorps 1) based in Hanover is an Army Music Corps of the Bundeswehr . In the course of the realignment of the Bundeswehr, the Army Music Corps 1 was subordinated to the Armed Forces Office and is therefore part of the armed forces base .

task

It mainly appears as a musical accompaniment in the federal states of Lower Saxony and North Rhine-Westphalia , but also at other national and international events with a business background. These include appearances on radio and television as well as at military music festivals.

The Heeresmusikkorps Hannover is also very often in smaller formations ( see below ) to public concerts worldwide.

history

The Army Music Corps 1 was set up in 1956 under the name of Music Corps II A at the time. From 1959 onwards the music corps was called Army Music Corps 1 . Since it was set up, it has been subordinate to the 1st Division without interruption.

In 1967 the first record was made, “Major Concert of the Bundeswehr”.

The music corps took part in the XX. Olympic Games in Munich. In recent history, in addition to countless appearances in Europe, a mission to change command in Afghanistan in 2011 stands out. The work in Canada at the “Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo” in Halifax in 2012 also attracted international attention .

In addition, the Heeresmusikkorps Hannover recorded numerous sound carriers, most recently in January 2011 the CD "Hocuspocus".
