The Army Music Corps Koblenz (HMusKorps Koblenz) until September 18, 2013 Army Music Corps 300 (HMusKorps 300) based in Koblenz is a music corps of the German Armed Forces. In the course of the realignment, the Army Music Corps 300 was subordinated to the Armed Forces Office and is therefore part of the armed forces base .

task

It mainly appears as a musical accompaniment in the states of Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland , but also at other national and international events with a business background.

history

The Army Music Corps 300 was set up on July 1, 1956 under the designation IV B in Idar-Oberstein and relocated to its current location in Koblenz just a few months after it was set up . The first conductor of the orchestra, which originally consisted of 23 men, was Captain Friedrich Deisenroth . From March 16, 1959, the music corps was renamed Army Music Corps 5 after it was subordinated to the 5th Panzer Division in Diez . On May 1, 1985 the association was transferred to the staff of III. Corps in Koblenz. Since then it has been called Heeresmusikkorps 300. From here on, until it was subordinate to the DSO, the members of the music corps were the only ones in the Bundeswehr to wear coral-red berets . From April 1, 1994 to March 31, 2002, the corps was subordinate to the Command Support Brigade 900 in Rheinbach . In operational terms, the orchestra was subordinate to the commander of the troops of the Supreme Army Command / Army Command in Koblenz. From April 1, 2002 to October 2007, the music corps was subordinate to the Army Troop Command in Koblenz, which was still division- equivalent at the time .
