Association badge

The badge of the 5th Panzer Division showed the symbol of the medieval Counts of Nassau on a silver-black shield (silver cord with black thread woven into it) : on a blue background, sprinkled with golden shingles, a golden, red armored and tongue-tied lion . The division's coat of arms was continued by the 14th Panzer Brigade , but this shield was outlined in red.
