Wilhelm Jacoby (General)

Wilhelm Jacoby is a German officer ( retired major general ).

From 1965 to 1967 he took part as a major in the 8th General Staff Course (H) at the Management Academy of the Federal Armed Forces (FüAkBw) in Hamburg and was awarded the General Heusinger Prize in 1967 as the best course participant . From 1979 to 1982 the colonel was the commander of the 12th Panzer Brigade in Amberg . Then the Brigadier General was Chief of Staff of the II Corps in Ulm . As a major general, he was the commander of the 5th Panzer Division in Diez from 1984 to 1986 . From 1986 to 1990 he was Chief of Staff of the Central Army Group (CENTAG) in Heidelberg . Most recently he was in command of the Territorial Command South in Heidelberg from 1990 to 1994 and then retired.
