Fürstenschüler is a television film from the crime series Tatort by ARD , ORF and SRF . The film was produced by MDR and first broadcast on May 17, 1998. It is about the crime scene episode 387. For the chief detective Bruno Ehrlicher ( Peter Sodann ) and his colleague Kain ( Bernd Michael Lade ) it is the 16th case that they investigate from Dresden . The film was shot on the grounds of the historic St. Augustin high school in Grimma .

action

A student from the Princely School in Grimma is found dead floating in the hollow . The time of death cannot easily be determined due to the particularly cool body temperature. The most likely time was probably around 9 p.m. All suspects allegedly have an alibi for the time of the crime. Ehrlicher and Kain , who have to drive from Dresden to Grimma to the crime scene, are investigating.

Ehrlicher first tries to find the place on the river where Kerstin was "thrown" into the water, which he succeeds. After it turns out that Kerstin was two months pregnant, the investigators also have a motive for the crime. They want to find out the father of the child through a large-scale DNA test on students and teachers. However, this meets with resistance from the teaching staff, who are concerned about the good reputation of the school. Nevertheless Ehrlicher's plan prevails and the high school student Frank is identified as the father. He claims that he did not know anything about the pregnancy and that he was in the library at the time of the crime. Cain can refute the latter and so Frank finally admits that he met with Kerstin and that she slipped unhappily and fell into the river. Before they can arrest him, he flees. That same evening he was found dead in a parking lot in Grimma.

Ehrlicher and Kain's investigations show that Frank didn't care about girls and that there was obviously a relationship with school principal Hermann. Kerstin had only "taken him by surprise" on a school trip because she was in love with him and now she thought she could tie him to her through the child. Hermann is arrested and interrogated. Although his lawyer insists that he make no testimony, he admits the act. Since he wants to have Frank killed with a stone because he was allegedly blackmailed by him, Ehrlicher is clear that he is covering someone because the instrument was made of metal. It turns out that his wife had committed the act in the hope of winning her husband back. She also wanted to save his life's work, which was endangered by the discovery of his relationship with a student.
