Mario Malossini (born April 4, 1947 in Riva del Garda ) is an Italian politician.

In 1978 Malossini was elected to the Regional Council of Trentino-South Tyrol as a member of the Democrazia Cristiana . From 1981 to 1988 he served in the government of the Province of Trento as assessor for tourism and trade. From 1989 until his resignation in 1992 he was governor of Trentino.

As a result of the Mani pulite investigations in the early and mid-1990s against large parts of the Italian political class, Malossini also came into the focus of public prosecutors. He was found guilty of receiving stolen goods and sentenced to one year in prison following a bribe investigation into the Brenner Motorway . In 1994 he was also convicted of abuse of office. However, the court of cassation in Rome found in 1996 that the issue was corruption and that the act was therefore statute-barred.

In 2003 he was elected to the Trentino Landtag for the Forza Italia party, to which he was a member until 2008.
