Gianni Bazzanella

Gianni Bazzanella (born July 11, 1940 in Trento ) is an Italian politician ( Democrazia Cristiana ).

From 1978 to 1993 he was a member of the Trentino Parliament . In 1984 he was also appointed regional councilor for industrial policy, but resigned in 1985 as a result of the Tesero dam burst . From 1987 he headed the regional government as President of the Trentino-South Tyrol region . When the incumbent Governor of Trentino Mario Malossini had to resign in 1992 due to allegations of corruption in connection with the Mani pulite scandal, he took over his office for the remaining two years of the legislative period.
