Marius Fischer

Marius Roman Fischer (born October 19, 1993 in Blaubeuren , Baden-Württemberg ) is a German director , cameraman , screenwriter , editor and colorist .

Life

Childhood and youth

Marius Fischer was born out of wedlock in Blaubeuren , Baden-Württemberg . He grew up with his older sister with his single mother in Westerheim , Baden-Württemberg.

He attended the Albert Schweitzer grammar school in Laichingen . There he designed the cover picture of the annual report, which is still used today, and was seen here for the first time as a performing artist in the field of acting . Marius Fischer was honored for his social commitment at the Albert-Schweitzer Gymnasium.

At the age of 17 he became the permanent photographer and videographer of a skate shop in Ulm , for which he worked until 2014. During this time, videos were created for WeSc, RVCA and Red Bull , among others .

First steps in film

At the age of 18, Fischer founded his film production company Marius Fischer Studios .

At the age of 20, Fischer broke off training as an event manager. First, he shot videos about converted vehicles. At the end of 2014, one of these videos won an award from an Austrian newspaper. Then he made the short film "War in the Head" and took part in the 65th Berlinale . The film was never shown outside of a festival or released on DVD due to a lack of music licenses. In 2015 he produced the DVD "Wörthersee MMXV" about the GTI meeting at Wörthersee . In October 2015, Fischer became the editor of the Quatsch Comedy Club , which won a Bavarian TV award in 2018 .

Fischer has been a member of the Bundesverband Filmschnitt Editor eV since the end of 2017

International film

At the beginning of 2018, Fischer applied to study directing at the New York Film Academy in Los Angeles , as he was rejected at all German film schools. In Los Angeles, he received a partial talent-based scholarship. The course begins in September 2019.

In the summer of 2017, Fischer worked for the first time as editor and colorist in two American film productions.

On September 18, 2018, Fischer released his short film "Back on Track" in cinemas in Germany. The premiere in the USA followed on September 21, 2018. Back on Track was selected as the winner at the Canada international Short Film Festival .

On August 23, 2019, the production company Awesome Pixels GmbH & Co. KG released the short film "Year Without a Summer" on Amazon Prime Video Germany.
