Mariusz Cissewski (born February 13, 1969 in Poland ) is a former German - Polish ice hockey goalkeeper . During his active time from 1986 to 2005, he was among other things for the Cologne EC in the ice hockey Bundesliga .
Career
Cissewski first played for Stoczniowiec Gdańsk in the Polish Ekstraklasa . In the summer of 1990 he moved to Germany , where he signed with the Cologne EC from the 1st Bundesliga . For the following season he was at the top division Herford EG between the posts, but went back to Cologne for two more years after one season.
Cissewski then had his most successful time at the second division club EHC Neuwied , for whom he played between 1994 and 1999 , and with whom he won the 1997 DEB League Cup and the 1997 and 1998 championships. In addition, in the 1996/97 season he was the goalkeeper with the fewest goals against in the first division north.
For the 1999/2000 season , the goalkeeper moved to league rivals Hamburg Crocodiles , with whom he was able to reach the quarter-finals of the play-offs . In the following season, Cissewski stayed with the Hamburgers, who, however , had to compete in the third-class Oberliga Nord . In the 2001/02 season he played for the Bavarian club ERSC Amberg in the Regionalliga Süd , before he went on the ice a year later for the Dresdner Eislöwen in the Oberliga. The native Pole ended his career in the Regionalliga, where he first played for Revierlöwen Oberhausen and again guarded the goal for the Hamburg Crocodiles for the 2004/05 season.

For Poland , Cissewski took part in the junior division of the U18 European Junior Championship in 1987 .
