Mark Goldblatt

Mark Goldblatt is an American film editor and film director .

Life

Goldblatt won a 1979 Saturn Award for Best Editing for the film piranhas of Joe Dante . This was also his first film as a stand-alone editor. Three dozen other productions followed. Directors with whom he worked several times are Michael Bay , James Cameron and Paul Verhoeven .

Together with several colleagues, he was nominated for an Oscar in 1992 for his film editing of Terminator 2 - Judgment Day . In 2018 he received the ACE Career Achievement Award .

In 1987 he was involved as Second Unit Director at RoboCop . In 1989 he directed The Punisher, the first film adaptation of the comic of the same name . He most recently directed an episode of the series Eerie, Indiana in 1992 .

His son Max Goldblatt works as an actor.
