Huber's pictures are medium to large-format works made of ink , charcoal , chalk , colored pencil and graphite . Markus Huber stands in the tradition of psychic automatism . He paints in a meditative concentration , in a trance-like state. He relaxes completely, but always remains focused. This creates the uncontrolled, free lines on his works.
