Markus Hochhaus (born April 16, 1968 in Heidelberg , Germany ) is a German handball trainer and former handball player . The playing position of the right-hander and former national player was the center backcourt . During his career, Hochhaus played for: TV Niederwürzbach , SG Flensburg-Handewitt , Frisch Auf Göppingen , TuS Nettelstedt , SV Post Schwerin , TSV St. Otmar St. Gallen and Eintracht Oberlübbe . From 2011, he held the coaching position at the district division club TuS Hartum and in December 2015, due to the poor sporting situation, he moved to the association division HSG Spradow. There he succeeded with the team to keep the class and to stabilize it in the following seasons in the association league. At the end of January 2019, Hochhaus resigned from his position at HSG, whereupon he was hired by VfL Handball Mennighüffen as a new coach from summer 2019. Already in November, the upper division parted from Hochhaus again.
