Markus Riess
Markus Rieß (born January 10, 1966 in Aachen ) is a German manager . He studied economics at the University of Heidelberg .
Rieß was CEO of Allianz Deutschland AG from July 2010 to April 2015 and has been Chairman of the Board of Management of ERGO Group AG since September 16, 2015 .
Life
Rieß finished school at the Theodorianum grammar school in Paderborn with an Abitur in 1985. Rieß completed a degree in economics in Heidelberg in 1990. During his studies he was also active at the Junge Union . In 1994 he received his doctorate. rer. pole. He worked at Allianz, the management consultant McKinsey and HypoBank as well as the World Bank in Washington.
