Marsupella is a genus of moss in the order Jungermanniales .

features

The plants grow more or less upright. The leaves have grown transversely, protrude from the stem and are divided into two lobes by a short incision. There are no sub-leaves. The cell corners are thickened triangular. Each cell contains two to three oil bodies . The spores are eight to twelve micrometers in diameter.

Distribution and systematics

Marsupella is a genus of the Gymnomitriaceae family . There are around 45 species worldwide, mainly found in the northern hemisphere and growing on moist, lime-free rocks. There are 17 species in Europe, including the following in Germany:
