Basilica of Constantine

Martin Bambauer (* 1970 in Wesel ) is a German church musician .

Life

Bambauer studied Protestant church music at the Robert Schumann University in Düsseldorf with Hans-Dieter Möller and passed an A-exam with distinction in organ improvisation . He completed postgraduate studies with Daniel Roth in Frankfurt am Main in 2001 with the concert exam . Bambauer has been the cantor and organist of the Protestant parish in Trier since 1999 , including at the Basilica of Constantine . From 2001 to 2008 he taught as a lecturer for liturgical organ playing at the Musikhochschule in Cologne . In 2017 he was appointed church music director by the church leadership of the Evangelical Church in the Rhineland .
