Martin Busch (born February 16, 1973 in Wermelskirchen ) is a German journalist , radio presenter and author .

Life

Busch grew up in Weyhe near Bremen . He is the son of the singer and university professor Dirk Busch . During his school days he played tennis intensively. He won several Bremen championships, was one of the best 30 players of his age in Germany and in 1987 won an international doubles tournament with Oliver Gross in Frankfurt.

After graduating from high school, he studied sociology , political science and linguistics at the University of Hamburg . As emphasis, he chose the fledgling brand Sociology of Alexander drawbar . After completing his master's degree, Busch completed his doctorate with Siegfried Weischenberg at the Institute for Journalism and Communication Studies.

Busch has been working for radio since 1993. He gained his first experience as a reporter at NDR 2 , and from 1996 he moderated at the first private broadcaster in Bremen, Radio 107.1. In July 1997 Busch switched to Radio Bremen , where he initially worked for Bremen Vier . Since 2003 he has been one of the moderating editors of the extensive news format "Rundschau" on Bremen Eins . He moderates various broadcasts on Bremen Zwei (until 2017 Nordwestradio). There Busch is also the host of the one-hour interview program “Talking Time” from time to time. He was already represented with two editions at the ARD radio festival.

He wrote a number of lyrics for his father, including “From where the wind blows”, “We are the people of today” and “My world has your face” (flugelhorn solo: Uli Beckerhoff ). Martin Busch sang his own composition "Horses in front of the pharmacy" on the album "Reine Glücksache". On Dirk Busch's LIVE album “Piano & Forte”, father and son sing a duet (“In my bed”).

Martin Busch taught for several semesters at the University of Bremen . In 2016 his pamphlet "Germany, Germany without everything - why Europe's largest economic power is a need for social care" appeared. At the end of 2017 he published his first socially critical essays on the Internet, including a. on Cicero Online . In December 2018 his aphorism volume "When freedom and progress began to shoot own goals" was published, printed and as an audio book with compositions by the guitarist Bernd Voss.
