Martin Damm (born September 30, 2003 in Bradenton ) is an American tennis player .

Career

The son of the Czech tennis player Martin Damm Sr. Martin Damm Jr. was born in Florida . On the ITF Junior Tour, at the age of 15, he made it to the semi-finals in his second Grand Slam tournament , the French Open , where he was defeated by the eventual winner Holger Vitus Nødskov Rune . Also in Wimbledon , he only lost in the semifinals against the eventual tournament winner Shintaro Mochizuki . With his regular doubles partner Toby Kodat he was also in the semi-finals of the doubles . In the junior world rankings he reached his best value after Wimbledon with rank 4. He is eligible to play as a junior until 2021.

At the USTA Boys 18s National Championships , the championships for under-18s, Damm and Kodat won a wildcard for the US Open by winning the tournament in autumn . There they were able to defeat the pairing of Mitchell Krueger and Tim Smyczek at the start . This made the pairing the youngest team with a main draw in US Open history. In the second round they lost to Kevin Krawietz and Andreas Mies . Through the world ranking points , Damm rose in doubles to 431 in the world.
