Martin Gramminger (born November 22, 1926 - † July 22, 2010 ) was a German soccer player.

Career

Gramminger began playing soccer at the Mannheim district club VfL Neckarau at the age of 17 and remained loyal to him for three years before moving to the Cologne BC 01 in January 1947 . After completing the second half of the season, he returned to Neckarau and now played for the first team in the Oberliga Süd , in which it was promoted for the first time at the start of the 1947/48 season . After only one season he rose with the team in the Baden regional league . After two seasons, the promotion to the Oberliga Süd succeeded and the class could be held with 11th place . With the renewed relegation in the following season as bottom of the table , he left the club.

From 1952 to 1958 he was active for Fortuna Düsseldorf in the Oberliga West in 146 point games, in which he scored 49 goals. His premier season he finished with his team in ninth place, with sixth place, 1954/55 , 1955/56 and 1956/57 , the best placement. While he was a member of the club, he was also used in the DFB Cup competition; In 1956 he was used in the semi-finals in the 1: 2 defeat against Hamburger SV . In 1957 he was used again in the semi-finals against Hamburger SV; this time Fortuna Düsseldorf won 1-0. The final, which was held in Augsburg's Rosenaustadion on December 29, 1957, was lost 0-1 to FC Bayern Munich with a goal scored by Rudolf Jobst in the 77th minute.

At the end of his football career, he played points games for Bayer 04 Leverkusen in the 2nd Oberliga West from 1958 to 1961 .

In contrast to his brother Karl , who later returned to Baden-Württemberg, Martin stayed in the west and worked as a coach at VfL Benrath and VfR Neuss , where he also settled at home.
