The II. Division 1958/59 was the tenth season of the II. Division , which formed the second highest division in football in parts of Germany between 1949 and 1963. In the 1958/59 season there was a single-track II Division in west , south-west and south Germany . The 2nd Division was not introduced in northern Germany and West Berlin . Here the amateur league was the second highest division.
west
Hamborn 07 and Schwarz-Weiß Essen were promoted to the Oberliga West. The STV Horst-Emscher and SV Sodingen rose from the league . The SG Düren 99 and the TuS Lintfort had to relegate to the association league and were replaced by the Bonner FV and the TuS Duisburg 48/99 .

The VfR Kaiserslautern and the Ludwigshafener SC rose to the Oberliga Südwest. TuS Neuendorf and SV Weisenau were relegated from the Oberliga Südwest . The VfL Trier and VfR Kirn had to stay in the Amateurliga and were prepared by the SC Friedrichsthal and Hassia Bingen replaced.

(in Geislingen ), FC Singen 04 - SpVgg Bayreuth 2: 1 (in Heilbronn ).
