Martin Loersch

Martin Lörsch (born November 9, 1951 in Koblenz-Niederberg ) is a German Roman Catholic theologian .

Life

The son of Hermann Lörsch and Magdalene Lörsch, b. Mathey attended the Koblenz-Niederberg elementary school from 1958 to 1963 and Görres-Gymnasium (Koblenz) from 1963 to 1971 . He completed his studies (1971–1977) in philosophy and theology in Trier , Innsbruck and Würzburg with a diploma on February 18, 1977. On October 12, 1981, he was qualified to hold a parish office. He completed his licentiate studies (1994–1996) at the Institute for Pastoral Psychology and Spirituality of the PTH Sankt Georgen with a licentiate certificate dated June 13, 1996. From 1998 to 2001 he completed a doctoral degree at the University of Vienna , department “Catholic Theology” - (Institute for Pastoral Theology and Institute for Interdisciplinary Research and Further Education [IFF]). After the pastoral course I (1977–1978) in the Trier seminary , he was ordained a deacon on July 16, 1978 . After the pastoral course II. (1978–1979) in the Trier seminary, he was ordained a priest on February 4, 1979.

From 1979 to 1982 he was chaplain in St. Johann (Saar) . From 1982 to 1986 he was regional youth pastor in the Mosel - Eifel - Hunsrück region and spiritual director of the Catholic Young Community ( KJG ), diocese of Trier . From 1986 to 1994 he was diocesan youth pastor of the diocese of Trier, diocesan pastor of the Federation of German Catholic Youth ( BDKJ ), diocese of Trier and spiritual advisor to the youth department in the Episcopal Vicariate Trier. He had a study leave from 1994 to 1995 for a licentiate degree at the Institute for Pastoral Psychology and Spirituality at the Philosophical-Theological University of St. Georgen in Frankfurt am Main . From 1996 to 2004 he was pastor in the pastoral care district of Bad Kreuznach and head of the pastoral policy department in main department 2 “Pastoral Services” of the Episcopal Vicariate Trier and consultant for pastoral theology in the pastoral course of the Episcopal Seminary. From 2002 to 2004 worked as part of the structural reform of the Diocese of Trier (2002 to 2003): Managing Director of Project Group 2: “Development of Criteria for the Future Shape of Parish and Pastoral Care Unit” under the direction of Auxiliary Bishop Leo Schwarz and in the coordination office for structural reform.

From 2004 to 2008 he was the episcopal representative and head of the 2020 project “Development of Parishes and Parish Communities and Structural Plan 2020”. From 2007 to 2010 he headed Department ZB 1.2 “Territorial and categorical pastoral care” in the new organizational structure of the Episcopal Vicariate General Trier. Since 2004 he has been the spiritual guide (Diözesanpräses) of the Catholic women's community ( kfd ), Diözesanverband Trier (part-time). On October 1, 2010, he was appointed administrator of the Chair for Pastoral Theology at the Trier Theological Faculty, where he has been professor at the Chair for Pastoral Theology at the Trier Theological Faculty since December 1, 2010 .

His main research areas are parish and community development, church organization development, life and social space-oriented pastoral care, being a missionary church, Catholic Church in one world and intercultural pastoral care, leading and leading in the church, cooperation skills, personality development from a pastoral psychological point of view, pilgrimages and pilgrimages and Synod in the Diocese of Trier (2013–2016).
