Martina Clavadetscher

Martina Clavadetscher (born August 1, 1979 in Zug ) is a Swiss author .

Life

Martina Clavadetscher grew up in Brunnen and attended grammar school in the Schwyz college from 1994 to 1998 . She then studied German literature , linguistics and philosophy at the University of Freiburg i. Üe. In 2006 the world premiere of her first play Drei Frauen (director: Sophie Stierle) took place at the Lucerne Theater . This was followed by other plays such as Together , which premiered in 2009 at the Schauspielhaus Hamburg , and in 2013 the play Deliver My Heart! , which premiered in the Südpol Luzern .

Clavadetscher regularly writes and reads the radio columns Apropos for Swiss radio SRF 1 . In 2012 she was awarded the Canton Schwyz Culture Prize. During the 2013/14 theater season, Clavadetscher was an in-house author at the Lucerne Theater as part of the “Play Laboratory for New Swiss Drama” funding program. The commissioned piece My only friend, the end , produced during this time, premiered in March 2014 and was published in the June issue of the specialist journal Theater der Zeit .

In 2014, she made her debut prose collector , which invited her to appear in Switzerland at the Leipzig Book Fair . With her play Awkward Rescue Clavadetscher won the Essen author prize piece! 2016 and was nominated for the Heidelberger Stückemarkt in the same year .

In 2017 she was nominated for the Swiss Book Prize for her novel Bone Songs .
