Maruša Krese
Maruša Krese , also Krese-Weidner (born April 13, 1947 in Ljubljana ; † January 7, 2013 in Ljubljana), was a Slovenian writer and poet .
Life
Maruša Krese studied literature , art history and psychotherapy in Ljubljana, London and Utrecht . From 1975 to 1989 she was a psychotherapist in Ljubljana, London and Tübingen and taught at the University of Ljubljana . From 1990 to 1991 she was a correspondent for the Slovenian Radio in Berlin . From 1992 she worked as a freelance journalist and writer in Berlin. She was a member of the PEN Center Germany .
Krese's commitment has contributed significantly to the outlawing of anti-personnel mines .
Awards
- 1997: Cross of Merit on Ribbon of the Federal Republic of Germany for its humanitarian commitment in the Bosnian War
- 2005: City clerk of Graz
