reception

Sarah El-Mahmoud from Cinemablend explains on The Place Where Lost Things Go , Mary Poppins comforts the children who lost their mother, who was also the wife of Michael Banks, in this sweet song and assures them that she is still with them with a smile. The voice of Emily Blunt reminds El-Mahmoud of Julie Andrews and the song of Stay Awake (in the German version you stay awake and don't fall asleep ) and Feed the Birds (Tuppence a Bag) (in the German version Daily early ) the original film from 1964 .

Christoph Petersen from Filmstarts writes about Lin-Manuel Miranda , who has already been nominated for an Oscar for his work on the songs of the Disney animated film Vaiana : “Especially his performance of A Cover Is Not The Book including a fast- talking rap insert is complete Particularly successful. ”The musical passages lacked energy overall and the songs lacked a certain catchy tune , continues Petersen:“ Two qualities that the 1964 original with A Spoonfull Of Sugar and Chim-Chim-Cheree still abound owned. "
