Mason Novick

Mason Novick (born December 20, 1974 in Chicago , Illinois ) is an American film producer .

Life

The first projects Novick produced included The Hollow and the thriller Red Eye by Wes Craven . Novick discovered the young author Diablo Cody's blog on the Internet and called her to ask for a collaboration. Cody then wrote the script for the comedy Juno , which was released in 2007. For the film, Novick was nominated for an Oscar in the category Best Picture at the 2008 Academy Awards, along with Lianne Halfon and Russell Smith . He also won awards at the Independent Spirit Awards and the Christopher Awards, and was nominated for the PGA Awards .

After Novick's collaboration on other projects such as the horror films Solstice and Insanitarium or the independent film (500) Days of Summer , for which he received a new nomination for the Independent Spirit Awards in 2010 , he worked on the film Jennifer's Body - Jungs in 2009 her taste , in which Megan Fox took the lead role, reunited with author Cody. The two are also planning further joint projects for the future.
